WW2 - Homefront & Anti-Axis
This is a very hard to find employee ID badge for a worker at the Steelton & Highspire Rail Road which serviced the Bethlehem Steel Plant in Steelton, Pa. This small RR company transferred steel from the steel plant to Highspire, Pa. railroad connections to be shipped to armament plants all over the USA during WW2. The badge is inscribed on the reverse with what to do if it is lost. It is 2 1/2" in length top to bottom. I would also think the the man's ID number "4" would possibly indicate being in a high position in the company. These are very scarce.
This is a neat pair of items from the 1940 Maneuvers for the Army. The coin is dated 1940 and "Army Maneuvers" on the front with "God Bless America" and "Good Luck to Our Army" on the reverse. The medal reads "1940 Maneuvers" on the top and "National Defenders of USA" on the bottom of the front. On the reverse of the medal is The Lord's Prayer. The top of the medal is missing one link which holds the top to the bottom. Both for one money.
