A nice LF&C 1918 canteen in a 12-1917 dated cover by "The Miller-Dexter Co." with an Infantry Equipment ID Disc, numbered "63". Used, but not abused shape.

Hotchkiss M1914 Hot Barrel Changing Mitts

When do you ever see these for sale. These are for the Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun, which was used by both the French and American troops during WW1. The leather mittens have metal chain mail on the palm side, to protect the wearer's hands from the hot barrel, while changing them out. The shoulder piece also has chain mail to allow cool air to get between the barrel and the wearer's shoulder, when the MG crew is changing positions. Super hard items for any WW1 collection.

Small Operating Case - Long 12-18

A neat khaki canvas case for operating tools, No tools included. It is made by Long and dated 12-18. When opened, it measures 37 1/2" long by 23" wide. There are two lines of straps inside to hold the operating tools and the drawn outline of 21 tools that go into this pack. It is in excellent condition.

When will you ever see another one of these and in this condition!! For its age, this box is in excellent condition and it has two of the smaller boxes inside which are filled with MG links. What a wonderful display item, especially for anyone with an Air Service Collection.

Named WW1 Canteen w/ Bag

This is just as I found it, a WW1 canteen and a 1918 dated cover, with another carring bag, all marked to "C.W.Wertz". There is no cup with the canteen and the canteen itself is not dated. Nice shape except for the bag which has wear and a large tear in the front.
