WWI Equipment & Personal Gear
When do you ever see these for sale. These are for the Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun, which was used by both the French and American troops during WW1. The leather mittens have metal chain mail on the palm side, to protect the wearer's hands from the hot barrel, while changing them out. The shoulder piece also has chain mail to allow cool air to get between the barrel and the wearer's shoulder, when the MG crew is changing positions. Super hard items for any WW1 collection.

There are two lines of straps inside to hold the operating tools and the drawn outline of 21 tools that go into this pack. It is in excellent condition.
