These armbands are made of black felt with the keystone and letters screened on. These are in near mint condition and were probably from the Scotland, Pa. Orphans School, which it's closing a few years ago was big news in the central Pa. area. These schools, that were all over the US, were started in the late 1800's and some are still in existence. Very hard to come by, but I have 4 of them, all in the same condition. They are $20 each, or take all four of them for $75.
Have never seen anything like this before. A WW1 canteen with a cavalry cover that has been decorated with a yellow/gold circle, red keystone and green pine tree. The cover itself has been painted a green color and the owners name is on the reverse side, "Francis E. Miller". A visually stunning piece. Now, when do you see these?
