WW2 - Homefront & Anti-Axis
So when do these ever come up for sale? Here is an unopened carton of Lucky Strike cigarettes that still have the wax paper outer cover over the carton. The carton measures 11" by 3' by 2" and is in mint unopened condition with just the wax paper having a slit on the one side. These are fresh to the collecting market, as they were purchased right from the family.
Just a fantastic find, as these type machine/games are incredibly hard to find. The game is 22 1/2" long, 11 1/2" wide and 14 1/2" tall at the tallest end. The aluminum pistol shoots pennies, or dimes and is in excellent working order. There is a key for the back door to retrieve the money that builds up inside. The object is to shoot a coin into Hitler's mouth, if it does you get your coin back, otherwise the coin falls into the center slot and will be retrieved by operator later. Still in excellent overall shape. There were very popular in bars, restaurants, soda shops and drug stores as a way the owner could make some extra money during war times.
This is a neat pair of items from the 1940 Maneuvers for the Army. The coin is dated 1940 and "Army Maneuvers" on the front with "God Bless America" and "Good Luck to Our Army" on the reverse. The medal reads "1940 Maneuvers" on the top and "National Defenders of USA" on the bottom of the front. On the reverse of the medal is The Lord's Prayer. The top of the medal is missing one link which holds the top to the bottom. Both for one money.
