First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY) Trench Art

A super neat covered brass trench art receptacle, dated 1917 on base and on lid, with engraving, "First Aid Nursing Yeomanry" and the organization's emblem on one side, with "342 P.O.W. Camp Vitry" on the other side. Both the base and lid are dated 1917. The FANY were an all female British unit that drove ambulances, mobile kitchens and showers, etc. and also transported the dead and wounded. Many of these women won various British and French decorations for their actions. Neat women's item you rarely see.

A neat set of salt and pepper shakers with stand, made from a 50 cal and a couple of 20 mm rounds. Measures approx. 7 1/4" high by 5 1/2" long by 2 3/4" wide. The shakers lift out of the wood base for use.

Just a great looking brass plaque, measuring 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" with "A Tribute To Those Who Served 1917 - 1918" and "Marshal Fochs Victory Message To Allied Soldiers". This plaque was never named, or presented to anyone. Great looking piece.
