WW2 Edged Weapons & Knives

Here is a 24 inch, tan handle US Army Machete by "True Temper" and dated 1945. The blade has been sharpened and was used, but not abused. The sheath is in excellent plus condition and of a plastic material. It is made by, "Beckwith Manufacturing Co." of Dover N.H. and is dated 1945. A great looking set.

A very rare fighting knife indeed!! This is the French Trench Dagger Poignard-Prime, by the French firm of "Brevete" at St. Etienne, mfg. of French Arms and cycles. First made for civilians, these were issued and used in WW1 thru and into WW2. The overall length with the scabbard is 14 1/2" and the Gras blade measures 8 7/8" long. In just beautiful condition.

Great looking cut down machete that was carried in WW2 by a USMC member. It has a 12 inch blade, marked "Legitimus Collins & Co., Made in USA, No 254", has a handle similar to a V-44 and has a canvas scabbard that looks rigger made. Just has a great look going for it!! Just found this out, paratroopers sometimes carried a cut down version of the 18 to 22 inch machete. These blades would measure 14 inches or less to make them easier to carry, especially during a jump.
